The Havelock Community Education Service is an organisation which arranges courses for adults in the community. With the assistance of Reap Marlborough the service is able to provide tutors, venues and resources for courses and activities requested by those in the community.
The service welcomes suggestions and requests for programmes which can be arranged by the co-ordinators. Email or phone if you are interested.
Courses being organised at present:
Middle Eastern Style Folk Dancing (Belly Dancing). Tutor Sue Large. Enjoy evenings of music and learning the oldest most feminine dance from known.Paper Tole. Tutor Kathy McIntosh. Learn how to prepare and create a picture with layers of cut out subjects.
Breadmaking. Tutor Margaret Duggan. Learn to make bread without a breadmaker.
Flax Weaving for beginners. Tutor: Sue Boniface. Learn to prepare and weave flax and produce a kete (small bag) and a four cornered basket.
