Havelock Community Education Service is an organisation which arranges courses for adults in the community. With the assistance of Reap Marlborough the service is able to provide tutors, venues and resources for courses and activities requested by those in the community.
The service welcomes suggestions and requests for programmes which can be arranged by the co-ordinators. Email or phone if you are interested.
Courses being organised at present:
Judo Course. An 11 week course has started Tuesdays during term time 3.00 - 3.30pnm Tumble & Play (Under 5s) 3.30 - 4.30pm Juniors (School Age Y1-Y8) 5.00 - 6.00pm Seniors (Y9 - Adult) Cost $5 per session for Juniors and Seniors (Term 2, 2010 ($55) $2.00 per session per family for Tumble & Play (Term2, 2010 $22). You can still join the course if you are interested.
Hypa tufa pots We have had a request for a course on making these pots. If you are interested let us know.
Sign Language As for the above course there has been a request for this course.
Small Business Management course This course is being organised for later in the year and/or early next year. It will be over several weeks. If you are interested in this course we are taking names. It is useful for us to know beforehand of your needs so the course can be prepared to fill those needs.
