We have qualified teachers and a purpose built facility licensed for 20 children two years and over and 10 children under two years of age.
PCP is a not-for-profit incorporated society that was formed in 2005 for the purpose of providing our district with a preschool facility for children aged zero to six years. This goal was realised when it opened in January 2008. Any parent or caregiver who has a child attending or is on the waiting list of the Preschool, is automatically a member of the society. Other persons may become members by application to the committee.
There is an expectation that members will contribute to the running and maintenance of the Preschool by volunteering their time as this enables us to keep fees low. PCP offers 20 hours free ECE for 3 and 4 year olds. Parents can also apply for a subsidy for childcare from WINZ and can check eligibility at www.workandincome.govt.nz.
Session Times and Normal Fees Amount
8.30am – 12.30pm Morning Session $20.40
12.30pm – 3.30pm Afternoon Session $15.30
Availability of child spaces can be limited for certain days and hours. Please contact the preschool and discuss your requirements. We will make every effort to accommodate your needs.
Settling In
Parents are encouraged to visit with their child and gradually increase the time spent with us whilst they become familiar with the preschool environment. Once they are familiar with our facility they will be pleasantly surprised how easy it is for their child to be left for the whole session.
